The last 12 months has been particularly challenging in the training sector. With the reduction in eligibility for funding in terms of learner age and also changes in prior attainment rules, mean that many potential learners do not now qualify for funding. This has made it tough for providers to recruit learners and has also put extra burden on employers who will now need to find extra finance to help contribute towards the cost of training.

I am delighted to be able to report that despite these challenges Anne Clarke Associates Ltd has continued to show improved performance and has also been able to increase its contract value over the past 12 months.

At the beginning of the last contract year we decided to put a big focus on our employability courses for job seekers. As a result of this we achieved an 18% growth on our contract. With this growth we were able to meet the demand we were receiving from the local job centres.

Expanding on this into our new contract, we have developed working relationships with numerous job centres, work programme providers and charities. In response to the high demand we have received on our courses we have opened the new training centres, which has helped support a further 24% growth on our contract this year already.

Finally going into the New Year we will be applying for another growth request so that we are able to meet the high demand we are receiving. Getting this growth request will enable us expand on our current provision and be able to meet more of your needs.
